Are 2004 GTP's Governed?

The '03 pcm in mine was set up to stop it at 123 in 3rd and 125 in OD. I've never had an '04 plugged in or read about it specifically.

When I had my 98 GTP coming back from Lubbock the car ran out of gear at 136mph.

3rd gear? No pretty sure it was in overdrive. Either way it wasn't creeping anymore or was doing it a snails pace and I got tired of waiting.

So you would say that they both top off at the same mph?

Actually a better questions whats the difference between a comp g and standard trans other then the gearing and tapshift? I believe nothing but correct me if I'm wrong.

Valve body, gearing, tap-shift and PCM files.

I once hit 120 and I was still in 3rd. I thought 4th ran up to 150 ish

When I was a stupid kid in High School I used to drive the red 97 gtp I used to have, 126MPH every day home from school. It was stock at the time and that was precisely where the gov'na kicked in.

Stock 04 GTP, which is exactly what I have, the governor kicks it out at 125 mph, and honestly, that's the fastest I will ever take it haha
