Anyone fab a handbrake?

Timing

So i hate the fact my gtp has a footbrake and im sure im not the only one. It sucks enough it not being standard but atleast a handbrake would make it a little funner. So has anyone actually fabricated a handbrake for these cars? I dont think it would really be that hard just get rid of those stupid ass cupholders that dont hold **** anyway add a bar down to the frame and shorten the ebrake cable tot he new bar.

Ive thought about doing it but I honestly don't think your car will hold up to well pulling the e brake around the corner these are big heavy cars not compacts.

Somebody has had to of done this on here. And im sure we could figure out a way to beef up the brakes to hold up.
not to mention there are just as big if not bigger cars in the drift world

The 97-03 and GXP ebrake is tiny and non-upgradable.

Unless you consider the 04-08 non GXP rear brakes to be an upgrade. The e brake actuates the caliper, however the piston is smaller than the 97-03 and GXP piston. Meaning less braking force.

ok so your saying there is no way to upgrade the ebrake? highly doughtful. Maby not direct bolt on but there must be something that could work.

do camaros have a handbrake?

Also look at the 3000gt big ass car may be rear wheel but still ive seen these things drift and our car is pretty low. Ive got my gtp sideways befor without an ebrake and it slid pretty nicely

learn to drive better?

why do you need to lockup the rear tires to get the car to rotate? look at your suspension parts first.

LOL, the 3000GT was FWD, just like your GTP.

The 3000GT VR4 was AWD.

And another newsflash, its a FWD Grand Prix...you want to drift? Go find something RWD, like a S13/14 or another small rwd JDM car.

This thread is dumb.

Sell car. Buy old Miata with torsen diff. Buy cheap ebay turbo kit. Play and drift all day, or til turbo blows up.

FWD is good straight line, even with all mods for suspension, it wouldn't handle the corners the way you want, or "drift". BTW how DO you power over with a FWD car... its just sliding until you gain traction back... right?
