• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Anybody tried these brakes?

380 for a pair of ebc's sheesh....what are decent/better brake brands? Obviously im not gonna spend like wilwood or brembo money here. Just something that'll slow this thing down(deer suck lol) in a hurry without hurting the bank TOO much...the bank can be hurt a little bit but not a lot.

Drunkie has C6 calipers...

EBC red stuff pads with the F body upgrade or the C5/C6 caliper.

Or even EBC red with those dual pot impala calipers.

yeah.

the pistons are shaped like pots to reduce thermal transfer and reduce chance of boiling the brake fluid.

I believe the gm 12" would be correct.

What's a semi-loaded bracket (EDIT: caliper not bracket)...i was looking at the kit from zzp but 250 for a pair of calipers is kind of expensive since i wouldn't get the pads/rotors so i was lookin at the calipers on rockauto and im not quite sure what semi loaded is.
Also what are banjo bolts and crush washers? I figured out what he banjo bolt is but i still don't know what a crush washer is. Would the banjo bolts out of the factory calipers work in the fbody calipers?

semi-loaded means you should be able to unbolt your old caliper bracket and brake hose and bolt on the new one.
So id be waaay better of getting semi loaded calipers then right? cuz on rockauto they went like 40 (EDIT: 60) bucks per side where as zzp wants 250 for both without pads or rotors.

ZZP overcharges like a mofo.... GXP semi loaded all around + centric rotors from rock auto and EBC pads from say AJUSA or performance peddler with the discount code "clubgp".

before you order... confirm bolt on ability... i'm not 100% on that.

GXP rears should be bolt-on...it's the people who go to Grand Am rears for lightweight purposes...I don't think those are direct bolt-on.

I'm probably only doing the fronts...the rears don't really do a whole lot. I'll just get some cheap rotors that look cool but don't relly perform well with some ceramic pads to keep the dust down.
Is stoptech any good?

I read some of that stuff on there and stoptech actually beat wilwood in a bunch of magazine tests. If they're better than why ar ethey cheaper than wilwood, brembo, and baer?

Alright drunkie says the gxp calipers bolt right on so that's probably what ill end up getting.
ZZP has a GXP brake kit for 300 which isn't too bad since rockauto wants 140 per caliper which is 280 but the ZZP kit has banjo bolts crush washers, and the caliper brackets.
