• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Alternatives to the Aeroforce Interceptor?

I was reading on of the the stickies that it was recommended to get one of these when starting to mod a GTP.

I was all for it until a friend of mine's Regal GS got broken into at the local mall and the only thing they stole was the interceptor from the A Pillar. Is there an alternative to mounting them on the A-Pillar or another device that could log and monitor things like Boost pressure and KR?

It sounds silly and to be completely paranoid about one event but I'd like to know of my options before throwing down money.

Take out either the middle, or the left AC vent in the middle of the dash, and put it there. Or make a little spot where the HUD controls are, and flop the controls over to the left cubby.

Inside of the cubby infront of the shifter, or possibly even the far left AC vent, tho I typically had that one aimed at my face, and was a godsend in FL.

Mine is to the left of the steering wheel...and when tilted to about 20-30*...you can see it perfectly through the steering wheel/turn signal stalk...opposite of the HUD controller, if you have HUD.

You could get torque for an android phone if you have one. It's $5 for the app and $25 for the Bluetooth to obd2 adapter.

A LS1M can, You would have to find one used.

A-pillars are to obvious. if you were to put it in a hud pod, or any other of the options mentioned it would be far less noticable IMO. mine is either going to go into a hud pod, or a single pod located else where.

Thinking about this now..
Mine is currently in my A-pillar, I definitely wouldn't want to find it stolen though.

yeah. this is one of the reasons i got one. mine isnt hooked up yet, but i put it on to take a look and from the outside (looking through the windshield) it blends so well with the dash that most people would probably dismiss it as stock. although if you were to look through the drivers window you may be able to see the gauges, would would be a giveaway. some of the other options like putting it in a vent would probably be more low key. but i like the HUD pod
