The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Re: Alix0r's 04 GP Build Thread- BAGS BUILD PAGE 9!!
Ugh so got my car back from alignment and camber adjustment and the guy said the pass rear center strut bolt is not all the way down so there is a gap between the strut mount and the top washer.. and I tried to tighten it down but I think it might be cross threaded or something cause I can't get it tightened with just an air ratchet... i might have to take the damn thing off to hit it with my impact.. which will then make me have to go get another alignment/camber adjustment for that wheel!!
Re: Alix0r's 04 GP Build Thread- BAGS BUILD PAGE 9!!
Ya I will prob take it up there to see if they can get it tightened down.. i hope it's not cross threaded the left side went down no problem but I had trouble with this side
Re: Alix0r's 04 GP Build Thread- AIR BAGS BUILD DONE!! -- STARTS ON PAGE 9!!
Can you hear them slam sometime going over bumps? The pass rear is the only one doing it cause I can spin that top washer lol its not even touching the rubber nubs of the strut mount
Did you hit them with an impact or try to tighten them down with hand tools?
Re: Alix0r's 04 GP Build Thread- AIR BAGS BUILD DONE!! -- STARTS ON PAGE 9!!
Yep same problem i just ran into.. i thought they were down all the way but i guess once the car put all of its weight on the strut it wasnt down all the way lol
Re: Alix0r's 04 GP Build Thread- AIR BAGS BUILD DONE!! -- STARTS ON PAGE 9!!
For a normal strut yes but the air bag struts don't have a torx on top it's more of a square top... it actually reminds me of those cheap floor jack release valves you turn to lower the jack haha the top looks like that
.. but the problem is there is a cylinder welded to a nut (see page 9 of my build for the nut) that you thread onto the shaft and you can't get anything down inside to hold that square top
