From what Ive heard, aftermarket lights bounce, fog up, and mounting tabs can break easily, but Im sure some aftermarket lights are better than others.

When I finally replace mine, Im just going to search for OEM take-offs that are in good condition. Its really easy to tell aftermarket lights from OEM. The OEM lights are "Guide" brand.
 
Yes, that's what I'd rather to get OEM but I've been looking for good ones, I guess we can get good parts from a 03. But they are hard to find or you find them and their price is kinda high

You just gotta know where all the good junkyards are in your area.
 
aftermarket headlights are fine, its the bracket they come with that are junk. swap in the stock bracket for them to mount to the car and youll be fine.
 


I did the aftermarket thing and regretted it. Like the others said, they bounce around and jiggle very badly. If you can rig them on the stock mounts it'd be worth a shot.
I too need some good quality lights because my stockers are just so pitted, there's not much that can be done with them. I've sanded them down so far the damage just goes all the way through the plastic.
If you do get some aftermarket headlights and try to put them in the stock brackets, I definitely recommend sealing them yourself with some clear or black silicone.
 
i bought a set of those aftermarket headlights of ebay. they look great and installed flawless. one of the corner lights did fog up, but i took it back off and placed a light bead of all weather grease on the bulb harness seal and never had a problem after that. they look awesome! once a month i put some auto wax on the lens to maintain the lesture.
 
I bought a set. You can't beat them for the money, but they can bounce a little. I never notice any movement while I'm driving, though. They will only fog up if you let moisture get inside them. There's a white plastic drain plug on both the headlight and parking light. If you ever get moisture in them, remove and empty the water if it's a lot, then leave the plug out for a few days. They will dry out. I never gave a thought to swapping out the original bracket. Awesome idea! I just wish that I hadn't tossed the original headlights.
