The rear oxygen sensor is in a differcult spot to get a wrench on to as it mounted vertically above the exhaust. Has anyone had any success using an offset wrench or an offset oxyegen removal tool? Do you have to removed the exhaust to get access? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would cut the u-bend section out and weld the o2 bung into a straight piece of pipe and mount the o2 horizontly. An exhaust shop shouldnt charge much to do this or you can order a u-bend delete from zzp with the o2 bung already mounted.

Ever heard of something called a o2 sensor socket? They work wonders and you can get them at your local auto parts store.

Hello there,
I tried installing oxygen sensor on my car, and I used offset wench in it, and also, it does required to remove the exhaust to get access.

just check this one for more: Oxygen Sensor Replacement

hope this could help.

I had no issues getting my O2 sensor socket on there, using a breaker bar it actually came off easier than most I have fought with. Mine looks like this one:

well thats a neat looking socket. it looks nothing like the oxygen sensor sockets ive seen. the ones ive seen would be a ***** to get on there, and if you did get it on, there was NO way of getting the socket wrench on top of it afterwards
