I'm debating on getting a down pipe. Headers are dumb on an NA car that'll be NA for atleast 2.5 more years

Not really dumb you'll lose a bit of low end torque but gain in the upper but downpipe is by far a way easier install.

That's another reason I really liked the down pipe. And obviously I have to get a catted one because I have to pass emissions. Would a 2.5 bolt right up?

headers arent dumb on a NA cartrust me I already had the 2.5 inch downpipe and noticed a full improvements with headers compare to just the downpipe and it sounds 100 percent better then any muffler you can get.
if you plan to top swap even if it is years later then a downpipe is just a waste of money considering eBay headers are only a little more money,just the install is a little pain.

I honestly wanted the easy install and when I top swap it hopefully ill have a big boy job in my degree and headers won't be that bad but for now I'm just trying to free up a few ponies and a down pipe seems the easiest.

Yeah so I'm just gonna get a down pipe eventually. I installed a header on my first car and it was the biggest pain especially from eBay I had to modify it to fit

ya my SD headers didnt need to be modified.. but they werent just slap and and drive either lol.

Honestly out of all my mods, the ones I noticed most was the incar tune, And the headers. Hv3 was ok.
If I was you buy everything you want then install all at the same time.

I looked on overkills website about a tune but I was a little sketched out by the fact that its not guaranteed to pass inspection

my incar tune from his has passed e-test twice now, and i delete my cat this and got no codes so he tunes out the code before hand so that rocks, so as long as they dont check underneath ill pass again next year

I'll second the general crappiness of PA roads. I'm in NWPA, a bit south of Erie, and I'll be hornswoggled if I lower my car. It sits a hair too low stock for some of the potholes around here. Good thing it handles like a dream!
