Accleration mods..

Ok, If I were to buy a TDC Intake for my car, does someone have a link to the specific one that I would need. Remember that my pvc pipe or whatever is used would have to be 3" to fit my MAF.

Now Are there specific instruction on how to install it?

Also, in this picture of my stock air box in my engine (i have a question):

My question: As you can see, the MAF is connected to the Air Box. Now below the MAF you can see another tube running into the air box. What is that? And what would I do with that If I put in a TDC Intake?

PS: What is TDC website?

read the safely modding your 3800 thread in the general tech section...it has tons of info. You could make your own fenderwell intake for about the same price as you just bought your filter for........good luck with the mods... downpipe....plog...tune is a huge one.... HV3...and of course the FWI

how do u make ur own intake?! lol very interested

To 08GrandPrixV6...they are very easy to install and yes he does make them for your car. The breather tube there can be plugged up IIRC...not 100% sure.

To RDL04gpgt...read the thread he posted...there is a link on how to make it there. Only difference is you will have to cut out a spot for the MAF sensor.

not to speak for blue......but I think he means disconnect the breather tube which goes into your air filter box, and plug up the breather tube. You could use a bolt or some other object......

Ooooh I see. So just un plug it from the air box and somehow plug it up so no air can get in or out?

Thanks alot!

Yeah...just go to your local XXX store and stick a butt plug in it.

Why? Because you can. Just kidding...really though...just get a large ass bolt and stick it in there.

to take off your airbox, you can search on one of the other stickies, or follow this. take the 3 bolts of shock brace thing. then get the hose that goes from tb to air box off (the tb side is easy) and then once its mostly loose and free to yank out, pull a little hard on it up and back. watch out for ecu wires! but dont be afraid. there might be a couple wire connectors on the frame and trim panels holding the wires out of the way, they unlatch pretty easy. but its not hard at all to take out. just zip tie that ecu in there. it works fine, no worries. been two months and mine is still there. but yes, a nice air filter on a bended pipe is ok..but remember, you are sucking in hot air from above the exhaust pipe.

lol...May I ask why you have to plug it up? And If I were to put a bolt in it, is there a possibility of it shooting out because of air pressure?

it will not shoot the bolt out if you get the right size bolt, you can also zip tie it tight if you wish after the bolt is in. You plug it so nothing gets in there....
