AC Question

I went to turn on the AC in the GP just hot air but, if I have it on max...then it you car feel the cold air coming out of the vents. So I turned off the car and tried it again and the same thing. This little "glitch" has no effect on how the car performs, no stalling..hesitating etc.

The compressor doen't seem like it is clicking on too much, I hear it click about every minute or so. Is the compressor about to go or is it just low on freon (or whatever it is called)?

Only way to know is to check the level of the freon and or look at the blend doors under the dash.

Plenty of freon, not exactly sure what I should be looking for under the dash though, anyone have pics handy??

Do a google search.. There black kinda triangle-ish. There also a how to on here some where! Hope u have small hands! Lol

How do you know the r-134a is full?

Dsmuts - Took my car to a friend of mine who is a mechanic. She is certified to mess the freon stuff that is in the AC, she did some kind of check on it. I wasn't there to watch though.

Oh ok she probably hooked gauges to it and checked it.

Ya its a couple of gauges I believe

Yeah you hook one side up to the high pressure side and one to the low pressure side.
