• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Weird, mine didnt have that. The headlight wire is the yellow wire that connects to the switch you use to turn your headlights on. You can get to it by popping that panel off on the driver side of the dashboard

It says in my instructions thats a dimming feature but i dont need that if i dont want too, if i were going to use that, i should tap into my yellow headlight wire then?

Hmmm....they must have added that since I bought mine. You connect that, not to the yellow wire, but a brown wire. There are two of them. You want to tag the brown wire that is the second from the end. The brown wire on the end of the harness is the parking light wire. The brown one just inside of that one is the dimmer. Its in the same place...just remove that cover that you see on the driver side dash, once you open the door.

To the purple wire on the harness that goes to the o2 sensor in your downpipe. But it really is just a wasted gauge. It will do nothing but bounce up and down and give you no data what-so-ever. Go ahead and see for yourself.

Wheres the harness that contains the purple wire? actually on the Down Pipe or in the engine somewhere? I saw on Youtube that it just goes crazy

So im going to have to jack my car up or something to get underneath the car. how do i tap into a wire? im kinda freaked out to accidently cut the wire. how can i get to the wires safely?

I'm sure Autozone or someplace like that will carry those. I guess i truely dont need to spend $200 to get it installed, i can just do it myself im sure. in what area in the engine bay should i look for the purple wire for o2 sensor?

They will carry those.. I would not pay somebody to install something you are gonna want to remove. If you want to do it, here is where you want to connect. (This is on the driver side, towards the firewall )

Even if I'm not going to use the AF Gauge, I just dontvwanna spend so much money to get it installed when I can myself. You really helped man, basically walked me through this whole installation. Thanks Alot!

Oh and also, should I connect the constatnt 12v red wire and black negative wire of the volts gauge right up to the battery directly?

I looked under my steering column and theres a big red solid color wire, right next to a big solid yellow wire. Mainly all the rest of the wires were a whole bunch of little ones. is that large red wire my constant 12v?

If you're looking at the correct wires...then yes. The red will be constant 12v, the yellow you wont need, thats your starter wire. If you could take a pic, I'll point out the correct wires. Also what year is your car?

If you dont plan to solder to your ignition wires, you may want to buy an "add a circuit" and just go to your fuse box in the glove box. (you can find them at autozone, but the link is so you can see what it looks like.

I just think its faster to solder to the ignition harness, and you dont have the run the lines as far. But if you dont plan on soldering, then you will want to go that route.

Alright, i got alot of pictures for you. My car is a1997 Grand Prix GTP completely stock engine and trans wise. First pic is of car, second and third pics are the wires under steering column all from different angles. Fourth pic is this wire harness with a purple wire (is that for AF Ratio?) and fifth pic is of general area of where purple wire is. Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth are pics of what i believe to be the Vac line of what i need to cut to put in the "T" for my boost gauge
