if you really want to learn things about modding a car then pick up a cheap roller 80's GM car (basically any of them look good with the right accents) and swap in a motor of your choice. i always thought a GTA with an LS1 would have been too much fun.
even better, start with an early 90's S-10 and build a 383
you could learn anything with those. from V8 swaps in the enormous engine bay, to body and frame repair, to custom spray painting, and stuff like beating the sh!t out of it with a hammer when you're mad at it. parts are easy to find too. and the best part, you could look around for a week and find one for like $800.
that sounds like a lot of work. probabl when i get my own house i could take on something like that. but for right now just simple mods will do seeing as thats wat im doing to the prix. All of these suggestions are for my future endevours so as to save up enough money to make due.
