Heres what happened, backed my 98 gtp in to the drive way. popped the trunk got out, and the car slid forward on the icey drive way and when the car caught the dry pavement the tries rotated while the car was in park. Ive tried every thing. Went as far as to leave the ignition on the on position for ten miniutes. then to off then tried to start the vehicle. I am hopeing there is a simple sloution to my dilema! Please help.:th_sick2: The vehicle was running fine up to this point!

Did your front tires spin or just the back?

When you turn the key are you getting any power at all, headlights, radio, anything?

^ ^ This.

Also, when you say it "doesn't start" what do you mean exactly? Does it turn over? (Like Spade said) do you have any power? Make a clicking sound? Anything?

What happened shouldn't keep the car from starting/cranking.

The ignition switch sends a signal through the gear selector swtich (on top of trans) and that relays it to the starter.

Maybe take a look, run it through the gears, trying to start in each gear.

I don't know much at all but would the anti-theft system have something to do with this by any chance? I know that some after market security systems have similar features that if the car is moved while the system is armed, it will prevent it from starting.

what i would do is disconnect negtive battery terminal and unhook the PCM leave it unhooked for 15-20 mins this should let the PCM reset it self once you connect it back and it gets power it should re scan the whole car then once it sees nothing worng it should be good hopefully.
