Hi guys and girls. I have a 98 gtp that the trans was rebuilt 30k ago. I just got the car so thats all I know. The car wouldn't go into any gear so I replaced the filter and fuild now the car has all gears and shifts ok. When I droped the pan there was a couple of small shaving. Now I am get a p0742 code I know its the tcc silinoid. From what I described would you replace the trans or just try a new silinoid. Now keep in mind that the trans only has 30k on the rebuild and has all the gears. Some people are telling me the trans needs a full rebuild Thanks.

Sorry I was in the middle of doing something and typing. I have a 98 gtp with a code p0742. The trans has less then 30k on it. I droped the trans pan and fillter and there was some metal in there nothing major. Should I just replace the tcc solenoid? Or get the trans rebuilt again. When you clear the code the trans shifts great and has all the gears.
