My 98 GP, the "change engine oil" light came on. It has a 3.1. Now the oil was changed in July. Hasn't been driven that much. So is this a "time" issue or a "mileage driven" issue? How do I reset this?

When the oil was changed the light wasn't reset. You are supposed to reset it when you change the oil. It doesn't know you changed it.

Well I found out how to reset the lighted notification on the dash. It worked and I hope this helps others.
1) turn key to on, not start, to on. Where all the lighted notifications are lit.
2) pump gas pedal 3-5 times
3) oil change soon light will flash numerous times then go out.
4) turn off key

Stealthee, I bought the car and one of the options I negotiated was the oil change. So for now on when I change the oil, I know how to reset it. Thank you for the reply.
Side note.....I am a mopar guy and would love to see a pic of the stealth!

That's not a factory blue, but a lot of people like it. Its based on the Subaru WRX blue, but has a ton more pearl.

dsmuts, 76 was the first year of the quad lights. The '73-'77 Chevelle/Malubu's/ El Comino's are considered the "forgotten Years" for them. Govt came in with the heavy smog restrictions, big bumpers etc. Plus the all were big heavy cars. They didn'y get popular again till 78-82 when they got shorter again. Its a fun car to have.

I think its a great color. I work with a guy that has a Subaru WRX in that blue with the yellow paint scheme all over it. He is s terror in it. He loves beating the "tuners" in it!
