97 gtp radio and on board display lights up but no letter or numbers or sound

i just bought this car today and for some reason the radio and the on board display all light up but there is no letters or numbers for either one and i dont get any sound from my speakers. fuses are all good. the car is all bone stock. im wanting to keep the original radio in the car if possible just thought id see if anyone knew something that i didnt. im wanting to tear into the dash and look around... i just dont know what to look for i guess any help would be great thanks
 


well all the lights like the red color all light up but the display on the radio that tells you what station your on does not light up and the on board display everything lights up red evern the screen but theres no words on the screen and out there looking into it more the headlight switch dont work the lights are just on all the time idk if there tied together or what
 
Take a pic of your radio maybe someone put a newer one in and it's not working. Push the volume button and see if it comes on or does anything.
 
i will get a pic here in a bit yeah i have pushed all buttons on the radio trying to get something out of it. i will get a pic and post it
 
alright i was going to take a picture but with it beeing daylight out it doesnt show my problem at all so tonight i will take a picture

alright for some reason it wouldnt let me upload the picture of the radio so i just made it my profile picture hope its a good enough picture
 
Well the sic Drona fifteenth year willdisplay everything but information from the vehicle so you prolly have a tucked up dic

I know cause I puts 99 in my 97

fixed the problem long story short i was not getting CONSTANT POWER to the radio or drivers info gave constant power to the radio and everything started working just fine with no issues since. thanks for the help guys
