• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Ya but this way it will be a wonderful surprise. The anxiety of it all will make you enjoy it more... or absolutely hate the guy for chopping it up if it turns out bad.

But I'm hopeful for awesomeness.

Every time I see ugliness like this.

since i know you all care so much...

called this guy multiple times, left a voicemail, and numerous texts since last thursday. emailed him last night as a last ditch effort to get his attention. as it turns out he lost his phone the day after he talked to me last week so he hasn't had any way of getting ahold of me because he didn't have any old email history or my phone number anymore...

he sent me a book over text, said he'll call me later to talk some more. he wants to redo the axle plates on the hard tail because he doesn't like the way they were done initially. otherwise it sounds like everything else is good to go and we just have to find some time to meet up. i should have it back and in my garage in under a week.

Works of art and quality jobs take time. Sounds like this should be a awesome build once you get it rolling.

due to the fact that i still don't have my frame back i picked up the carbs and tore them down.

the slides and needles look awesome so i'm leaving them alone. the jets are surprisingly clean, but ill clean those to make sure they're proper. the only issue i found is that on the choke slides there are small brass butterflies and one of the cylinders is midding that butterfly. so the choke won't work the best and one cylinder will run leaner when i'm using the choke...oh well.

and the velocity stacks look badass when mounted.

also wanted to bump this so it's easier to find...

i talked on the phone with him last friday. he said 'within a few days or so', but we all know how that is working so far.

i'll probably give him a call on lunch today to try and set something up...

frame guy said:
everything will be done no later than monday. i had to rework a lot of **** that i wasnt aware of. [other guy] didnt slug anything, which i had to go back and do. ill call you when it's ready for pick up.

me said:
okay. sorry if im being impatient. its just been a while.

frame guy said:
im as frustrated as you are, as i wouldnt have had all this mishap if i didnt have to leave it in the hands of someone else to do. but given my **** got fried [from his basement flooding - ruined his welder], i had no choice. but now it seems like im double working everything because of [other guy] being a ****ing dumbass. if it wasnt my name on this i wouldn't care, but the last thing i need is for your frame to snap in half while doing 65 on the highway.

me said:
by all means id rather it be done right and im glad youre trying to take care of me. getting it done for automotion [show in may i was planning on riding to] isnt really a priority anymore anyway.

*le sigh*....

i did have some thoughts of taking some of the work back to him, but at this point i've already found other places to take it all. i just need the frame back so i can have the parts back i need to get everything moving...
