Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I don't know why, but the post of the Pick up the soap, then your seat...whats the matter you trying to cover something? LOL

frame guy got back to me today. he is on vacation over the holiday and will be back next week.

im excited to get this thing going!

putting it back together is going to be the easy/fun part because all the fun parts go back on the bike.

don't worry, cuz. i got this.

apparently the guy doing my frame is basically a chopper builder. does gas tanks, complete builds, the whole works. he said he likes to do heavy flake paint jobs for the more classic, true choppers he builds. i dont think it's something that i'd really want on my bike, though. i want to be more subtle, ratty.

I usually like the shiny heavy flake customs, but I went to the local Harley shop a couple months ago with the GF just to look around before a movie and she found what I wanted. It was only a 883 sportster, but it was all matte black, with red lettering for the Harley and Chrome accents. It was a thing of beauty, I just drooled.

yeah, that night train look they got going on a couple of their models is pretty good looking.

but i already did matte black and red, so no go on that scheme.

well im poor. problem solved.

the parts i 'need' to get everything going how i want is gonna set me back around $1000. plus i need to wire the bike and get the electrics all setup how i want.

supposed to drop off the bike with the frame guy sometime this week. will take a goodbye picture of it when i do.

for now, "small" purchase for a few parts:

- tach plug (not gonna run a tach)
- low mount speed (mounts down on the front hub, badass level: dope)
- set of 7/8" drag bars (the ones i have from my brother are 1", dont fit)
- lightened alternator pulley (more faster revs yoooo)

grand total of about...$350 ish. i still have an exhaust to buy (~$350), updating the electrical system (~$500 kitted up), an oil tank (~$130), and a gas tank (~$200).

either way, lots more money to spend....
