4THGEN'S Failstar

I know, I was dissapointed. I wanted to see them torch the whole thing out.

I got a kick out of the guy smackin the axle with the huge hammer/axe thing, whatever the hell it was.

EDIT: It's actually an aluminum weight on top of the drive whels :)

As of right now the Failstar is a go. Apparently the strut are adjustable as far as camber goes. Adjusted both of them and they're good. The pass side that had all the camber is still off slightly..I think the strut is slightly bent. It's not visibly bent but it's still slightly off. So I took the diamond cutter and made the adjustment hole bigger and got some more adjustment out of it. Camber look good now, at least good enough not to chew a tire down to the steel belts in ~500 miles. The new tires are getting mounted and balanced tomorrow and then it's getting aligned...yyeeeeaaayyy.

So I don't destroy a tire on the way to the alignment shop. Before I adjusted it the top of the tire was literally further out than the fender is

Well. The car made it about 650 miles today. Didn't give a single problem.

The alignment shop ended up being closed. So my buddy that is an auto tech helped me align it with a level and tape measure. It pulls to the right 1 foot after about 1000 feet. I don't think we did too bad

New sensaaaas

Starters are easy. And truthfully. I'd rather do one on a N* and not crawl under the car, get dirty, and have **** constantly fallin in my eyes.
For those that dont know the starter is in the valley between the heads, under the intake
The crank sensors aren't too bad either honestly. It'll prob take me an hour, with the majority of the time spent tryin to get to the bolts with the oil housing in the way

Lol yea most people get this puzzled look on their face when you tell them that.
But I won't have to worry about the for quite a while...the original motor had a remaned delco that looked brand new...so i threw it in the motor that's in it now. Probably don't have to worry about the starter for 200K

But they usually don't since they're not exposed to the elements like starters usually are. According to Cadillac they put it under the intake because they found the majority of starter failures were because of dirt/debris and being exposed to water etc etc. So they put it under the intake in an attempt to reduce starter failures.

i went and googled up a pic of this, thats just crazy lol but it does make sense in the long run, and it dont look like coolant runs through the intake, so thats a plus as well.

Gonna do some things over Christmas break.
First thing is 55 watt HID high's to complement the factory HID projectors.
A new secondary air pump since mine is trashed...also a TSB for this.
Get it professionally aligned at an alignment shop.
And....since it has brake pad wear sensors and I broke one i'm gonna run to the junkyard and grab a set so the car stops telling me to change the brake pads.

Alright so. Both sensors replaced. Starts even harder now. And still throws a P0385 for the lower sensor. The fuсk is wrong with this stupid car? Is it possible I need a case learn?
