Oh, I have already read that. Just thought you, personally had some information to add to that. And Stunt0Rider I have addressed your question in my previous posts.....(4 dr cars were designed with the priority being 4 drs, and then second is performance) That is the nature of a 4 dr vehicle. Again if there were no such things as kids and groceries there would be no 4 dr cars, only station wagons, mini vans, and 2 dr sports cars.
 


Just so everyone knows, I hope anyone here is not taking anything personally, as I am not, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I like discussion and enjoy what everyone has to say. This isn't about who or what is better. It's about what each person believes is better. Thanks for everyone's input!
 
I forgot you are king sht. so if the world was 100% paved there would be no 4x4s or trucks? I guess the 2 door Blazer was made for racing too. The Amigo was a 2 door racing machine too.
 
The GTP was designed as a performance model 2 and 4 doors came out at the same timoe. Notice 04+ there are no two doors only 4 doors yet they upgraded the supercharger on the performance model that has 4 doors.

Ok so if 4 drs were designed with performance in mind where is the 4 dr corvette? or 4 dr viper, or 4 dr challenger, or 4 dr camero, oh wait you're gonna tell me they are in the works right?!?! lol
 
Never said every car had to be a sports car. Yes the vett is a sports car. Yes the viper is fast and no you will never drive one.
 
not all cars are designed with performance in mind. But i guess the two door smart car is hella fast and sexy.

This is the nature of a 4 door?? WTF do you have an engineering degree too now? I read your whole thread, Being from Minnesota you make me look bad. Talking about the GP specifically go park your 1st 2 door GP next to a 4 door and tell me which on is shorter. The entire front clip is exaclty the same, so is the roof panel front to back exaclty that same size! along with the rear bumper tail lights and trunk lid. Whick leaves the doors and quarter glass the determining factor in the overall weight. I dont know for sure but their cant be much difference their either since the 2 doors have longer doors and qarter panel glass isnt light either. Like I said go park next to a 4 door GP, what a humbling sight before your own eyes! :th_laugh-lol3: Some one shut this thread down!

The whole purpose of this thread is not to discuss the actual performance of a 4 dr vs a 2 dr (again I said earlier its the same under the hood for a grand prix gtp) but what the exterior means in terms of an overall direction.

Nah my next idea was to tell him to buy 4 door and strip both down piece by piece and tell me exactly how many parts are different compared to the parts that are the same between the 2 door and 4 door. I bet absolutly none minus the doors, quarter glass, door mouldings, and exterior rocker panels!! Id even bet the carpet is the same!!
No **** their the same under the hood guy. I just pointed out that DAMN near everything else is too and "in terms of overall direction" WTF are you talking about??
 
its more of a fundamental question. Looking back at the older cars, hot rods, or muscle cars, do you see any of them with 4 drs!?!?!? That idea still translates to today.
