3800 Performance PCM refund issues

Well as some of you know, I have been having issues with them refunding my deposit that I put down on my pcm that I have ordered from them. They are ignoring/not responding to my e-mails and I am not the only one right now having refund issues. I know of two others that are in this same boat right now. If you are having issues with them please say so in this thread. If anyone know's how to contact them besides the [email protected] e-mail address please let me know. Thanks...
 


So far they've been okay with my order but we'll see how it plays out. I asked them about the refund before I made my purchase and they told me that I'll be refunded "within 48 hours of receiving your stock PCM core back". So I went ahead with it and paid the $175 core charge and placed the order on 12/13. I just received the new pcm this Saturday 12/19 and put it in right away. Had to do a security relearn but other than that it was okay and I'm very pleased. I packaged up my stock pcm and started looking for an address to send it back to. There was no information regarding what to do or where to send my stock pcm back so I sent them an email requesting the address to send it to. I've yet to get a response but I plan on overnighting mine to them as soon as I get their address. I also searched all over to find more contact information but all I was able to find was the email address stated above.

I will keep this thread updated with my status.

Update: I just received an email back:
"Ship the PCM back to the address on the box. Please be sure to include your name/ address inside the box as well, so we know who the PCM is being returned from. You don't need to overnite it. Regular ground shipping is fine."

I am still going to overnight it regardless because I can get a good discount when I overnight boxes. It will be going out tonight after work.

Update..... they emailed me yesterday morning to ask me if there was a phone number that I could be reached at. I sent them my phone number yesterday morning before 9. No one returned my e-mail or called me at all to discuss this. So now it has been two full days and no one has contacted me. I am really down on them and at this point would not recommend this company to anyone. Even if they dont have an answer for me right now a little communication email or phone call to explain their end of it, or an explanation would be sufficient. No communication as usual. Why is it that no one on this damn planet seems to know how to be a professional?
 
i had slight issues with them, not with the pcm refund i didnt get it shipped in time due to training, but they did send me a messed up pulley puller and when i wrote them to see if i could get an extention on the amount of time i had the puller(i rented it) no reply
 


well..a rep finally contacted me by phone yesterday, saying that they respond to all emails and that he didnt get my e-mail the first time I gave them the phone number. All of their refunds are issued via check and there is a holding period for them to flash the pcm to make sure it is good before they issue the refund check. I placed order in oct., the original pcm was returned to them on 0ct. 13th. They claim that a check was sent out in the first part of November to me. I never did see this check that they claim was issued. I dont know if it was never issued or got lost in the mail somehow. According to them, this check was never cashed and they are issuing me another check for the deposit. I am also supposed to let them know when I get this check. They gave me both check numbers and I am supposed to keep in touch with them to assure that this check gets to me. FYI for future reference to those that order from 3800performance.com and what their deposit policy is for PCM purchase.
 


be sure sure to let us know how their pcm performs, i'm just curious, mine is an "intense" and kr is annoying.
 
I have had their pcm for over two months. It performs pretty well... but I have a max of three to four * of KR. I will be installing a ported SC soon and getting a custom tune in the spring. I have no complaints other than that... It is a good tune for a canned tune. As far as I know it is the DHP tune
 
They've had my stock PCM for over a week now and I haven't heard anything at all from them. I just sent them an email asking about the refund. They told me within 48 hours I would get my refund so I'm going to hold them to their word and use that as an arguing point. I have documentation (email) of them saying that and I paid with paypal so if it comes down to it I'll do a dispute. For now I'm just going to wait for their response.

Liqui.... glad you heard back from them finally. Let us know if you ever get the check or not.
 
Purchased the PCM on November 16th. Received it on November 21th. Sent the core back on the 24th.

Sent an email on Dec.18th. Still have not received a response. Just finished sending another email.

Am very pleased with the pcm, its a shame their customer service is slacking.

Like liquifire, I am seeing upwards of 4* of KR. I am planning on putting headers on it soon so we will see if that helps.
 
Refund check arrived today....and I cashed it. I will update if anything else comes of this, but for now I am satisfied.
 


Sorry for not updating; I was out of town over the holidays. I did receive a refund check from them while I was gone last week. It was dated Dec. 24th. I will be cashing it this afternoon. As long as the check is good, I have no complaints. I wish their refund process was done a little differently (crediting back my paypal account) but this will do. Glad to see that they're finally responding to people. Maybe they are reading this thread ;)
