300GPX concept wheels!!

hey guys! first post here actually lol!!! But i am well known on many other Gm sites, im not a spammer! So lately ive been contemplating a GTP. If i get it, i want to build it close to the 300GTX. First off, what wheels are on that car? God they're sexy! Ive been reading old articles and googling and searching on here and i cant find it! Please help me out here guys! And please dont tell me Pontiac actually made them and they're not available!
 


everyone here would kill someone to get those rims... people have been looking and found some rims that are somewhat like the concept, but i am yet to see a GP with wheels like that. imho the closest looking wheel is a mustang cobra wheel...
 
the 300GPX was a concept and thats it. nothing about those cars were produced, just our toned-down versions yay us. but there are plenty of other wheels out ther that would look good, such as the regular GTX wheels
 
those wheels were produced, but in very, VERY short supply. you will not find a set, 100% for sure.
 


I looked extensively into these wheels and had a conversation, of sorts, via email with the manufacturer of the ones for the prototype car quite some time back. As stated, you won't find a set. I believe I know where the 300GPX is sitting that we see in all the photos but I doubt they'll part it out. There were a few others, but not many. The wheels never went to full production.

Those ones you found are pretty neat, though. You'd have to do the flares, though to even have a stab at them looking proper.
 
I dont believe it! Pontiac has almost never used in house manufactured rims for their concepts! The previous GXP concept had used Borbets, i was hoping they also made these! But i could SWEAR, i read once that these were made by OZ.
 


There were 3 GPX cars. A 2dr, a sedan and a convertible. The 2dr and sedan had the concept wheels and the convertible had BBS. They all had different hoods as well.
 


Racing Dynamics RGR or RG? something or other, don't recall off the top of my head. The convertable GP had bbs wheels on it, yes.:th_thumbsup-wink:

you can find them in smaller sizes but finding a set of 19" ones with the correct offset and bolt pattern will be impossible. You'll need to get adapters to accept the different bolt pattern that the wheels come in.

true. I think the ones that you could get back in day only came in 5x120 for BMWs
