3.5 pulley on 2007 GP/GT

07 GPGT

What's up everybody. I'm new to the forum and also this is my first supercharged car. I own an 07 gp/gt with the series 3 V6 engine and I was wondering if it is safe to drop down to a 3.5 pulley. The dealer says I can with no other mods but I want extra input, so fire away please.

First off, you don't need 4 posts asking the same question.

As far as changing it some get away with it and some don't. I would at least suggest getting a CAI(Cold Air Intake) or FWI(Fender Well Intake), 1 or 2 heat range colder spark plugs, downpipe and at least a 180-t-stat. I don't know if they offer pcm's for the 07's yet but it would be a good idea if they did.

Also i thought the 07's are either rental cars(3.8 n/a) or GXP's (5.3 l V8). I for some reason thought they axed the superchargers for that year.

I bought it from the dealership and the carfax report said it was a rental in Florida for its first 30,000 miles. I think they only made 1500 or so supercharged that year.

I noticed that too...about the posts...

I agree with Preotic on that one...I wouldn't drop a pulley size until you are able to scan for knock. Just do other mods first, such as a T-Stat, DP, PCM, CAI/FWI, Plugs/Wires...THEN drop to possibly a 3.4 or 3.5...
