245/45/20s?

I assume the suspention clearance for wheels/tires is same for a Grand Prix as a Impala. So I have a question does anyone know if I can run 245/45/20s on my 04 SS? I come here for all my answers to questions as it seems theres more info here than the Impala boards thanks in advance.

I think that will be too tall.

Because 245/45 is what you need to run on 18's or it to be the right size for the speedo and good fit for the wheel wells.

I'd look on a wheel site to compare the sizes and see what you need to run. Likely a 235/40 for a 245/40, just guessing here though.

245/35R20 is what you're looking for...

18s: 245/45R18
19s: 245/40R19
20s: 245/35R20

and anyone that buys 17s isn't smart, so i don't even care.

the issue im having is the tire shop said they cant stretch the 245/35/20s to fit on my rim so my only option is 245/45s

tell them they are stupid and go to a different shop. a 35 series tire is not even close to being a big deal. that shop sucks.

This brings me to another question. Will 22s fit with stock height? I don't wanna lift it or anything like that

1010tires website is only giving me down to a 30 series tire on a 22, which is going to be 4.35% taller. that's outside of the recommended range i like to recommend.

and i have no idea where you're going to find a 245/25R22. a shop would definitely hate you if you wanted them to mount those.

so realistically you could do the 245/30R22 and run a little bigger than stock, but you'll most likely end up rubbing and have to do some suspension and/or fender work to make it all fit nicely.
