Can someone tell me why 19" tires are so DAMN expensive? I thought my 18's were bad but holy crap. Other than ebay and tyc out in California does anyone know a decent way to get decent tires that aren't going to put me in the poor house? The reason I'm asking is because I have a line on some 19x8.5 evo 5's. Let me know guys and gals, thanks.

Not many cars have 19s thus the high price. Just run the cheapest tire you can find on the street if they are summer wheels, and get some drag tires for the strip, since you should only be racing there anyways.

I only plan on using the wheels during the summer but the price of the tires is turning me off to even having the damn wheels in the first place. And I dont plan on ever using my car at the track beings it's a DD, just can't put the risk of something stupid happening, my lady would kill me. I think I might just ell them off to the highest bidder. Oh well.

I know it's insane for 19's!!! I just got 19" xxr's 165 a rim. The 245/40 hankook tires where like 170 a tire. Sad how the rubber is more then the actual rim lol

its funny, because a ****ton of new cars come with 19'' wheels.

very true.. Theres actually more common then they were 5 years ago but still not as common as 18s or 20s..

G35/37, 370Z, BWMs, Benz, Mustangs, even the new camaro can come with 19s stock.

and this is the cheapest place for 19s
