21st Annual Pontiac Nationals, Norwalk, OH Aug. 3rd-5th, 2012

How much does it cost to camp in the pits vs. hotel room? I'm all about doing this the cheapest way possible if I can make it.

Camping is WAAAY cheaper than a hotel room, unless of course you share it with 3 other dudes... (can we say, sausage fest?)

Pretty much, it's a $25 charge to camp in the pits for the whole weekend.

3 day admission for spectators is $30, or 2 day is $25

So if you do 3 days and camping, you're looking at $55 .

Yes, they have shower and bathroom facilities available to those who camp. Or you can ask one of your more feminine friends who stay in a hotel if you can use their shower.

But the sausage fest comes with free continental breakfast.

Still, staying in the hotel is about as queer as a $2 bill.

And please, lets be honest with ourselves here..............continental breakfast consists of vacuum sealed bowls of cereal and muffins from the local shop rite bakery.........

Don't worry bud, one day you'll grow up big and tall, and be able to stay in a tent all on your own at nationals!! For now, I understand staying in the hotel in your case, you need your night-light.

Oh, and so I'm not BLATANTLY off topic like the poster above me................. maybe this year I was thinking, epic pit bbq????

Actually camping is free in the pits with race admission and they do have a continental breakfast put on by Ames Performance on the Summit Side of the race track along with the warm up carts(golf carts with coffee, juice, and donuts) in the mornings that drive around the pits along with cool down carts in the afternoon. Showers are available at the track for either 1 or 2 dollars.

AND waffles :D

But seriously, some people are cut out to sleep in a tent, others like the comforts of home at another place. Let it be.

holy crap u can camp in the pits? That sounds like a fkn party. I'm trying to convince Tengis to take the trip there with me, but I doubt it. Someone tape brandon to a pole for me (don't rape him 99).
