• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

20's

I like the looks of 18's, still leaves a decent amount of choices for tires. Dont mind the gaps im lowering it..........

But remember to each his own, its your car.

I have 20's on my GP. I think they look sweet, but man the roads are hard on them. They are Konig Tuner 2's with falken 243/35/20. As soon as the weather clears up I will post a picture of it.

Ha could do that but when i get some money im droppin it so i dont wanna be tryin to squeeze 20s under there
Should have no more problem lowering on 20s than 18s, the outer diameter of the wheel/tire combo is still the same. You'll face the same issues as with the 18s when it comes to width, offset, etc. so again no larger problem there.

20s most likely will weigh more depending on which ones you get. There are lighter ones out there, but $$$ usually.

I didn't want the compromise, so I decided 19s/20s with an air strut system and a set of older-style GP 16x8 powdercoated crosslaces with performance tires for street/track fun (Might use my 17x8 Bullitts though). Hope I can finish my build in 2009, but ???

And when you're rollin on your 20's kiss your tranny goodbye sooner than later :)

I am in betweener :) I like my 18's. I still have my stock 16's for the winter and the occasional run at the track, but my TSW's are my regular rims once the winter season comes and goes.

Also purchasing rubber for 20's doesnt come cheap. And whatever you do............for the Love of Baby Jesus, don't do spinners :p

Oh yeah and its great to see you lurking around still Jason!!! I was kinda getting worried about you my friend! Good to see you are still alive and kickin :)

Yea true but yea no thanks on the added weight i already have a heavy sub box in the trunk usually as it is. An as far as money thats limited so im prob just powdercoating my torque stars for now. they will look nice anyway an i like them so as it is i kinda want wheels but at the same time dont wanna loose my torques so im just goint to change their appearance a bit instead.

When I bought my car, it had 18s and was lowered. Now I am back to stock suspension and 16s. It is all in what you want. I personally don't mind the look of lowered cars and bigger rims, but they ride horribly. And for the distance I drive, comfort takes precedent over looks.

YA wish I had done some research, Tranny started to slip, but could be that ther car had 131,000 Km's and the fluid was starting to darken down. I did a fluid and filter change and has not slipped in a week so hopefully I caught it in time. And as far as the tires go, they are expensive I am a mechanic at a ford dealership and I got the tires at cost and it was still $1000...lol. And what do you mean by spinners?, like the Rims that spin or spinning your tires.

Spinners are the rims that many mmmmmmm African American drivers own (NOT all mind you thank goodness) (I tried to be as PC as I could), and some wacka$$ white folk who are down with that sorta thing. They are basically rims with a your usual 5 star design, but they very in type etc, but they have an extra attachment that is spins in the opposite direction of the wheel making an opposite spin effect. That is the best explaination I can give you.

I gotta dig up some pictures to show ya exactly what I am trying to say......

You'll get a good laugh out of them. Most folks who think sanely would tend to agree :)

Here we go............Found some lmao!

James, you silly bastard! Yeah buddy I'm still alive and kicking. Not too involved in car community though (just too busy and overwhelmed a bit at the moment).

20s do not equal spinners. LOL. Quite a few badass GPs out there with them.

To the OP, powdercoated Torque Stars don't look too bad either for the time being and cheap too.

Hehe hey buddy! I hope things do even out for ya soon! Miss having you around!!!

I know 20's don't always mean "spinners," but the one guy asked what spinners were and I was just giving him a reference to what they were ;)
