Surprised this hasn't come up yet:

I'd buy it if it doesnt get the typical turbo 4 or another n/a motor.
Can we do a 380hp+ w/turbo so with aftermarket add-ons it could be a beast ?
 


At my work we have some Impalas with the 3.6, na obviously...they got some balls for a v6, cant imagine what it will be like with a turbo!
 
they don't make a 3.8L motor anymore, get over it.

****, they should only be making .5L increment motors anyway. physics be damned, they're GM and continue to make retarded sized motors.
 


This has popped up numerous times on the GN forum. They have been "talking" about it for 10 years now.

Unless its a coupe only available in black its going to be done wrong. Actually its GM. It'll be done wrong.

Leave the Grand National out of this..... Just leave it alone

from what i recal of the new 60*v6 DI architecture i dont know if ya can swing the 38xxcc "3.9" rotating assembly into the new engines as that was a large bore 3.6 variant? probably not doable in the new DI hardware/block

it sucks the bore spacing was reduced with the 60*
 


i daily drive a CTS-V, how can i hate american muscle? you cray.

i love the idea of the new GNX, but reversing time and putting something the opposite of modern in it for nostalgia sake is pure retardism.
