Based on same car as the G8, which happens to be RWD.:th_scratchhead:

I was thinking it was an IMPALA. They planned to use them and fade out the crown vics, most departments down here are already doing so.

why? they dont need to be rockets... and many have to get around in the snow. just curious as to why you think so

To light, to small, not comparable to a crown vic in structure & Strength, I've built a a bunch of Impala's and the design is complete crap, trunk space is ridiculous, extremely fragile.

Not to mention how much of a pain installs on the cars are.

We've been through three generations of Impala's here as cop cars. They get nice and beat up, even the newer generations are starting to look like they're taking a hit or two. Provinicial cops are still using the Crown vics though.

It seems we like locally built cars since the Impala's are still made near here.

I love the crown vic history that goes, "limited to 120 MPH because of the drive shaft..."

"The rear-wheel-drive PPV is fully 10 inches longer than the outgoing Pontiac G8 sedan, and has a four-wheel independent suspension tuned for high-performance driving."

Don't forget the extra 5'' in the back seat! :th_thumb-up:

The PD always loves to spend our money but never really needs them.
