Id buy it 40k is a little steep but its going to hurt gm for the fact what performance car out side of the vett does gm have now since G8 has been killed?

Almost 400hp stock.

easy 500 with slight mods

Ford > gm right now; ford has had better quality then gm for years now.
 
It still weighs 4300+ pounds...and they say that EcoBoost thing is supposed to be better than the V8? Hush your mouth Ford...C&D and R&T tested it to STRUGGLE to get to 20 mpg's on the highway and were barely getting 16 in town...I'll take my V8 any compared to that sled thank you.
 
The first SHO's were underrated. They were family cars, faster than **** and had better handling than most sports cars in its time. So far I'm not that impressed with the 2010 SHO. I'd rather see the engine and drivetrain in a 2 door car. I think the 4 door hot rods are coming to an end, especially since the G8 never really took off...
 


See....I had NO clue what a SHO was lmao!! Then I got on here...lol I seen this and figured you guys could debate about it!! AWD FTW!!! But after reading the specs...my lord...that thing is HUGE!

+1...........saw the commercial........AWD is cool, but would not buy a ford unless it was one hell of a deal, and this is far from that. the good news is that if this is like any other ford you will be able to pick this up next summer for about 20k......
 


Ive had a 93 sho and a 98 sho both were awsone cars for what i paid
40K for a ford is not something id do
I own sable wagon and a crown vic both fine cars for what they are but you give me 40k and Ill be getting a new maro or a 68 maro tthat would be completely frame off rebuilt and sexy
 
damn 40k can buy alot...as far as the new sho 40k is just retarded. I am a fan of the older Yamaha v6 manual ones. Just drove a 94 not too long ago, stock. It was old and falling apart but it was way quicker than my gt (before my top-swap)
 
The Ford website has videos comparing the Taurus to cars from Lexus, Infinity, Audi, etc. I think it might have been better to develop this car as a Lincoln. Many luxury brands are becoming more performance oriented, and it could have helped Lincoln in that market. A $40k Lincoln is also easier to swallow than a $40K Ford.
 


$40k is ridiculous... Least it looks better than the older models, but the only Ford we own is a '94 F350 that runs like a champ (300k mi) and we've only gone through one clutch ;)

But yeah, while it looks nice, their expectations are too high as well as their price.
