Got some OVERNIGHT PARTS from Canada ;) in order to race an LS1 GTO (13.6@101). Took him out late Friday night/early Saturday night, walking away on the top end. The GTO was going pretty good. He had just beaten an SRT4, a 2011 5.0 Mustang, lost to an EVO 9 barely, and lost to a 350rwhp C5. GTO later went on to beat another modded SRT4. BTW, I also *pulled that EVO 9 hard, but he had *excuses (getting hot).

Need some more dyno-tuning...there's about 50whp missing, but it was incredibly fun to do this in my daily driver. :)

In other news: I recently got the works brushless car wash at an Exxon and a huge scrape appeared on the passenger side skirt. I need to get a pic. I recall that I went through this weird drive up ATM and scraped another curb awhile back fml lol
 


Not saying you didn't beat the GTO because I don't know what you have or what the story is but there is one part that is getting to me.. The part where you say a 13.6 car beat a 2011 5.0 Mustang. Those cars are good for mid to high 12's. So the driver of that car was horrible or i call BS.

Yes, the GTO guy said the same thing, must have been a crappy 5.0 driver. But he also told me he's faster than a 13.6 because he did it on bald street radials (has pics) and 2nd gear going out. Another thing is I've already seen a few '11 5.0's only doing 13's here. Cars are slower at San Antonio Raceway than other places. My friend did 10.5 @ 135 in NorCal, but only a best of 11.0 @ 131 here.

We're still waiting for the SRT4 guys to post up videos. So far they only have themselves running other SRT4s, but one of them witnessed my GXP brutalizing the GTO.
 


Oh, and I thought everyone here knew what they sell for GXP's up in Canada lol...the turbo kit.

Unfortunely, I only got 5.5 lbs of boost out of it during the short time I had on the dyno Thursday night. As a result, the tune that Kevin of cartuning.ca sent was pig rich and had to be cleaned up. I'm sure it would have been close at 8 or 9 lbs of boost.
 
hm mm.. curiouser and curiouser. So you say you beat the gto which beat the 5.0? in that case what mods you got goin on.

Nice.

Interested on speedo vids for sure. You rarely see anyone snail'ing the LS4's anymore. Good deal.
 
I love the new 5.0 as much as the next guy, probably more then all of you ford haterz put together...but what a car is capable of, and what every day drivers are capable of are different things. The dark side forums are littered with just as many mid/high 13 sec runs as high/mid 12 sec runs for these cars stock or close to it.

A win is a win though, sometimes beating the driver is better then beating the car.

I have fun with my 3.8 SC. GXPs have never impressed me, but when people are talking all smack and say they want proof and the proof is posted non of them are man enough to step up on this board and apologize.

Lulz at slowchoke....

I think people where doubting the part about a basically stock LS1 Goat beating an 11 5.0. If you look, I was one of the ones who said the new 5.0's aren't always 12 second cars. I'm not sure if you're coming at me or not, but I don't think me or anybody else has anything to apologize about here. I was just wondering what you had to say, u mad?
