Yep I greased the sliders, bracket, and on the backs of the pads.
It still is squealing in pulses only in reverse. In drive there is no noise.
I dont mind if it goes away over time if thats the case, but right now its really annoying and I hope its temporary.
Do you think its just the ceramic pads still breaking in. I already did the brake in procedure as directed and since ethen have put 40 miles on the pads and rotors.
Currently its only the passenger side front wheel that is making the squealing noise and the others are fine.

I got off the phone with brakemotive and they said its very common for this to happen. When I told the agent I only put 40 miles on the pads, she said that its going to take at least 200-500 miles of use for the pads to fully break in for the noise to go away even after I did the break in procedure.
She also said the ceramic pads are much harder and are more likely to squeal initially but will fade in time.
If it does not fade away eventually I have a 1 year warranty and they will send me new pads.
But based on what I have haerd it should eventually fade away with more use and driving. I sure hope that is the case.

Since I have only put on 40 miles since the installation, I know I need to drive it more. I was told to do another brake in procedure to speed up the process which involves going 40-10mph five times without stopping and then another 5 times doing 35-5 mph without stopping, then drive normally for about 5 minutes without braking if possible to allow the pad material too cure on the rotor.
The brake in procedure can be difficult to do properly specially where I live. Although I will try to do it on a highway or long stretch of road. I will just put my hazards on like I did before hoping nobody hits me lol.

If that thing you pointed out happened to be the problem how do I go about fixing it?
I am assuming you had the same issue with reverse only squealing?The bottom, dogbone shaped part of the thing is touching the rotor, guaranteed.

Yep, exact same problem, no noise going forward, squealing in reverse from passenger side only. It's just a little sheet metal tab. If you can get under your car, just pry it gently away from the rotor a few millimeters. It's the same on the other side, kinda o==o shaped, so you may need to give each side a little prying.

Gonna check it out when I get home currently at college right now. Soon as I get home I will check it out. If thats the case its an easy fix. If not I guess I will have to keep driving around and bedding in the brakes normally through much more driving as directed. Also gonna do another brake in procedure as directed to speed up the process if it turns out to be the pad.
Those tabs are under the ball joint right behind the wheel? Looking at the image it looks to be only one circular tab attached to the control arm?

I couldn't find *any* pics online so that was the best blind reach around pic I could take since car is too low to get under. The tab is mirrored on the other side, all one piece. It looks like a bow tie, or dog bone shape.
I think it really looks like an old school wind up key.

Alright cool thanks for the info.
If thats the case I wonder why those tabs got out of place. I did not have this problem before installing new rotors and pads. Did you have this issue after installing your new rotors and pads. Looks like you have brakemotive brakes as well.
Also did your squeak happen in pulses while in reverse rather than a constant squeak?

Looks to be those tabs are connected on the steering knuckle.

The brakes are actually PowerStop brand, Brakemotive is just another reseller of them. The tab is pretty thin sheet metal, doesn't take much to bend it, I think it's a gasket to prevent the hub from corroding to the knuckle.
I had pulsed squeaking at first, every time I backed out of the driveway and was told it was just fresh pad dust plus the zinc plating and just needed to wear through it. After a week of that, I took the wheel/pads/rotor/caliper off (got new caliper at same time) and wiped them all off and THEN got a constant squeal every time I reversed. Wasn't till I got the car on ramps that I could see it was BARELY touching the rotor.

Turns out I had the exact same problem. Got under the car with a flathead screwdriver and some pliers and pulled that clip back some and the noise is gone. Last thing I would expect it to be lol. It seems the thing that was causing the problem was in front of the ball joint.

Exciting News.
My car is getting a suspension overhaul.
Already purchased all of my suspension parts which includes Monroe front strut mounts and rear AC Delco mounts coupled with new FE3 struts all around. I will also be installing dorman trailing arms. Reusing the strut boots and rubber things the spring rests on as they are in good condition
Everything should be done with an alignment sometime later on Wednesday.
