2002 no start

ok 2002 gp 3.1 motor bought it cheap because it had a busted front exaust manifold . 2 bolts broke off in the head. drove it home 33 miles, drove fine other than sounding like a lawn mower.. next day got new exhaust gaskets started it up to let my buddy lol at it. then killed it ......let me say getting the front exhaust off is a pita i got both bolts extracted and the exaust re installed the next day and it started and ran for maybe 2 seconds now all it will do is hit and run for 2 seconds at a time have checked the plugs new, wires new, fuel is at 60 psi on the rai.l and im getting spark but it will not run

Plugged cat? It would run with the busted exhaust but with the plugged cat and nowhere for the exhaust to go it won't? Have you tried starting fluid to get it running?

yes it acts the same..there is no cat and i just discovered that it acts the same with a non pk3 key thinking something wrong with the key

ok here is something weird the car will run 15 seconds or so without the fuel pump relay until it runs outa fuel will run longer if spraying starting fluid huum stumped any ideals

did you try unplugging the mafs?

yes no go .... but update... now after unpluging the battery for a hour car will start and run but just at a idle if u give it gas it will bog and die acts like something is plugged

did you try and see if anything got in your exshaust when you had it off, i know its a long shot but it happens,
if thats a no, then i would make sure getting your getting fuel, spark an air...in make sure all the fuse's are good

thanks for all the help but it was the cat cut it off and fires right up and revs good drives good got a piece of pipe welded in place
