What's up guys...I just bought a 2002 gtp yesterday. It has 139000 miles runs and drives good.
I paid 2300 and pretty sure I received a good deal. It needs little things like window regulator, new ac controls, sunroof switch and couple sensors I thinks. Service engine soon light is on and received a code for o2 sensor. The low coolant light is on but has plenty of coolant. ABS light is on and also tcs off light. I know these are little problems and won't cost much to replace(found where a harness is unplugged by the right front wheel). My question is how do I make sure it remains running like it is now? I've never owned a vehicle with a supercharger so I was thinking there is other things o do besides change oil and those typ things. Do any of the problems I listed sound really bad to where I need to fix ASAP? I figured for the price I paid I surely can't loose on this deal.

Welcome. Sounds like an electrical nightmare. You should know these forums well by the time you have it all back to "normal". Good luck!

the harness that is unplugged is probably a wheel speed sensor, which would cause your ABS and trac lights. those will throw a code that can be read with something like a TechII at your local GM dealer, so that will point you in a better direction. if your low coolant light is on, check around the lower intake for leaks. sometimes just an air bubble around the level sensor in the radiator will throw that light. i believe there's a procedure detailed in your owners manual about bleeding the cooling system. long story short, overfill your overflow bottle, make sure the car is hot enough to open the thermostat, and open the bleed screw on the thermostat housing until you have a steady stream of coolant. there are also two oxygen sensors, so make sure you get whether the code was for bank 1 (pre-cat) or bank 2 (post cat).

what he said. about $60 either way, and you'll need a special socket and PB blaster if you plan on doing it yourself.

I've found that warming the motor up to operating temp before removing the rear o2 helps it come out easier too. I had a buddies get stuck on his truck so we just started it and kept trying to turn it every couple of min until it came out. Worth a shot if it's the rear, I wouldn't try it for the front one though.

Thanks for the input guys!! I'm really hoping I didn't get burned on this deal but we will have to wait and see. I had a bad experience a couple moths ago with a vehicle so now I feel like this one is gonna bite the dust soon only because I'm the person that bought it lol. That's how my luck is. I'm glad everything is electrical cause I know more about that kind of stuff.
So does it look like I got a good deal? I'll post more pics tomorrow. Thanks again to all
