2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Yeah I've heard good things about the performance of them, I'd paint mine so rust isn't a huge deal. Everyone says they stop well over the whole lifetime of the pads, and are a major improvement over the old brakes (which some of it is obvious). Mine aren't great as of now, the pedal is normal but the stopping power isn't great. That just seems like a nice kit for a good price.

yeah my brakes suck! if the pedal isn't almost down its not going to stop all the way. and this kit was pretty cheap was only 200 for everything.

Yeah mine are exactly the same when I need to stop fast^. Normal driving the brakes are just fine. Then I get in customers cars at work with their super touchy brakes and I nearly get the rear wheels off the ground just trying to make a normal stop..lol

lol I know how you feel. my friend got a 2012 mazda 6 and he let me drive it and we both flew forward from me just trying to do a normal stop lol. any chance you know how hard it is to install a turbo on a gp? been looking into saving up for one

some people are saying just use the one I have now and wait till it blows. they said that it will last long enough to save up for a new one

Well if it's high mileage and worn out, it might not even last the first test drive. Just depends on how you drive it.

so far it has no problems going through the gears. idk guess we will find out lol am I going to have to get a rebuilt stock or is it going to have to be beefed up a little? not exactly sure how much power a turbo is going to put out. im gonna guess 100hp?

just had to replace a valve cover gasket that was blown off the engine....lol its a new engine only 40,000 on it now. anyone ever heard of this happening?

And I bet you were surprised about how much those stupid ass vc gaskets cost to lol. Luckily if you change them once they y'all at last for awhile.

Lol yeah I only spend like 16$ on the gasket and I think I might replace the front just to be safe

Do it for peace of mind. Super simples, except trying to get out the bolt next to the injector. That bolt can go eff itself
