1999 gtp

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

Take a pictures of your crossover as well. You kind of have to use a mallet and bang the crossover as you start to line up the front header bolts. It won't go directly on just throwing it together.
This^^

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

And wait until you get your clamps. Trust me I tried before to go ahead and save time and install them while I waited on clamps and well you'll have to do it again lol. It won't have enough remove with the rear header and crossover to get the clamp underneath it. So you have to lay the clamps down first then the crossover etc

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

But you can go ahead and keep the rear header attached just unattach the crossover for the time being. Does that make sense lol

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

No no no! Just remove the cross over from the rear header and unbolt the front header :)

Here is the gap

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

Mine was the same when I installed my headers. You pushed the back too far down, pull it back up from the rear header and it should sit in the middle better.

When I did mine (used) I had to put the crossover into the front header and get it nice and snug and then put the front header on with the crossover attached. Not gonna lie, it was a booger, but a little bit of convincing and it all went together. Otherwise I couldn't get rid of the gap and had a exhaust leak there.

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

Havering a problem, I started the car everything is hooked up pulleys on but the car is shaking like its missing I had like 5 codes so I don't know what's goin on anybody

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

Make sure all your plug wires are connected well, and to the right plug. Also make sure none of them were laying on the headers and melted through.

For that gap, just wiggle the crossover pipe forward a little, and clamp.

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

It's fixed thanks now I just need to fix some other little crap this weekend and she will be set (: so pumped

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley

Have you replaced the sh1t gaskets yet that are going to blow out soon with factory ones?

Re: One slow gtp with headers and pulley
