1998 GTP, Help me pick my audio system

Alright guys, I just picked up a 98 GTP with the standard (non-bose) audio system, and its horrid. So, how about I get some help from my fellow GP addicts. I dont want to spend a penny over 600.00 (less would be better). I need the following:
5.25 Door Speakers
6x9 Deck Speakers
Head Unit (with mounting kit, harness and antenna adapter, usually free with purchase)
10 inch sealed sub box. (sub is rated for .81 cu ft)
4 gauge amp install kit w/speaker wire (enough for all 4 speakers, to the trunk)

I current have an MB Quart PB 5400 5 channel amp which is 55 watts RMS per channel, and 200 watts RMS for the sub. I also have the 10" woofer covered with an MB Quart DWG 254 DVC. I will be wiring it at 2 ohms, which will net me 300 watts RMS from the amp. Sub is rated at 250 watts. So should be alright.

Now, here is what I want. Would rather have coaxial speakers, but am not totally against component sets for the doors. Head Unit must have a multi color display (so I can change it to red to match the interior color). Other then that, I dont have much else as far as particulars. Let me know what you guys would recommend. Links to each would be helpful as well!

**Edit, music choice. I listen to metal/hard rock 98% of the time.**

Difference between Crutchfield and Sonicelectronix is that Crutchfield is a factory authorized internet dealer for the products they sell and Sonicelectronix is not. So Crutchfield has the backing of the factory and OEM and Sonicelectronix does not. I have dealt with Crutchfield's customer support and it is top-notch, cannot be beat, very knowledgable technicians that bend over backwards to help you and if needed have the manufacturer to ask question to also, I have never had to deal with Sonicelectronix customer support so I have no opinion on them.

my 5.25 door speakers are polk audios ($80) for the set i believe they were, and my 6x9s are infinitys (reference series) i believe those were $120 for the set and i couldnt be happier with them. The headunit i have wont do you any good since its not mulitcolor (only blue) but it goes up to 35(volume) and the door speakers, and 6x9s both stay crystal clear all the way up.

Everything i bought w
as purchased at best buy and i think the total was like $530. all in all i purchased the 5.25s, 6x9s, headunit, a 4 channel kicker amp, and a kicker wiring kit.

Nick, thanks for the helpful reply! I think I may have found some in my price range, and the RMS ratings match my amp almost perfectly. A set of MB Quart FSB 5.25 components here: MB Quart FSB 213 (FSB213) 5.25" 2-Way Formula Component Speaker

and a set of MB Quart ONX 6x9's here: MB Quart ONX 169 (ONX169) 6" x 9" 3-way Speaker System Might as well keep the MB Quart theme going.

Then looking at a Kenwood KDC-X895 for a head unit, located here: Kenwood KDC-X895 (KDCX895) CD Receiver w/ Bluetooth & LCD Display.

Thinking about getting a 1.0 cubic foot sealed enclosure.

Any feedback on the above is welcomed!

Op you would be happy with coaxials... For comps you need to be a lil more knowledgeable in car audio for them to sound 100% good.Ive heard diamond audio d3 6x9s. I own a set and they sound great.I would spend the xtra money on a nice deck with sub level control/built in xover/4volt preouts. Almost any speaker can be eq'd to sound decent....And for the love of god..DONT USE A CAP!!!! Lol

TC, thanks! Im not completely new to car audio, just been out of the game for a little while. I just need to make a decision and buy the stuff. I could look for the next 4 weeks Im sure. Anything has to sound better then what is in there now. They are blown, and just horrible sounding. My daily was a 98 Seville STS, and the factory stereo in that car rocked the house for a stocker. Its 10x the stereo that is in the GTP, so its driving me nuts.

4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kithere's the HU that replaced mine: JVC Arsenal KD-A925BT Car Stereo CD/MP3 Player w/ Bluetooth, USB
5.25: Polk Audio db521 5-1/4" 2-way Speakers (Marine Certified) (db 521)6x9: Polk Audio db691 6" x 9" 3-way Speakers (Marine Certified) dbpersonally the stock is sounds plenty good on the aftermarket HU and i have to point in doing a rear deck (cancellation, no ones ever back there, and front do a good job)

box even though a flat responce 20hz ported box would sound much cleaner and be slightly louder. you want sealed: Sonic Sub Boxes 1H10-0.7-BLACK (1h1007-black) Single 10" just add pollyfill to make the sub think the box is bigger.

Only reason I was going with a sealed box was because that is what Mb Quart recommended. Must be on lunch eh? haha. I will check out your links here.

Alright, think I got everything ordered and on the way. I ended up with the Aura 5.25 components, and Aura 6x9's. I800 recommends these quite highly, and they have some pretty decent reviews on DIYMA as well.
Got an Eclipse CD7200 MDII head unit on the way. A .85 cu ft sealed enclosure, 4 gauge amp install kit. I also bought baffles for the speakers.

Cant wait to get it installed and rocking. Now to find someone who has a MEI-100 mic for the 7200 MDII head unit to set the A/T.
