Well got my Aeroforce in the mail today.

Got the HUD Pod a few days ago.

Getting all excited to throw in my new Gauge, plug it in, turn the car on. Gauge starts right up BUT then... it turns off after being on for about 2 seconds.

WHY WONT IT STAY ON? Do i need a new harness or what?

Wait.... Maybe I need to create a constant power source since i just found the write up on how to do it, but i didnt see a spot for the power wire to come off of the back of the aeroforce.

Remove the red jumper and then have to constant power going to it

Not sure about the previous generation but did you have to run power to a constant 12v?

I dont have one... Unless im missing it somewhere.

Can i take the Red power wire (already in the wire harness). splice a wire from that and send it to the fuse box?

Yeah if you had the red jumper on the back you could just run it off the obd2 like i did

false. it may work in some cars, but it doesn't work in all cars. I had a new aero and had to take the jumper off and run a power wire to teh red wire there.

Chef, thanks for the finds. Ill have to read those over in a bit.

Anyways, I kept playing with the Aeroforce.

Finally got it to stay on, kinda.

Turn the car on and the AF starts right up and stays on, but after awhile of driving around, it occasionally turns off and usually comes right back on. Touchy wires maybe? I dont know, but its progress.

Did a speedo run, watched KR. Right before the shift at like 90mph the highest amount of KR I saw was 5.4, better than 7, what I was seeing previously.

My wb did that turned out it didn't have a constant 12v. You might have to run a wire.

Run a wire from where on the Aeroforce?

Tap into the power wire and run it to a Constant 12v in the fuse box?

Run a 12v source to the aeroforce. Make I one that comes on with the ignition.

But where do I hook my 12v source to the aeroforce?

There's no place to hook it up to since its the older model.

The only option is tapping into the red power wire in the AF harness.

hmm on mine it was the red wire in the harness. im sure you can search around and figure out which one to use. and yeah those add-a-fuse things are nice thats what i used

Well i figured it's the red wire in the harness, makes the most sense.

If that's the case, I'll just tap into that with a new 12v source to a constant and call it a day.
