I feel like im getting sh*t from people that im not getting the 300M input shaft.

Does anyone else but me think college is more important than a car?

Maybe ill ask a relative but as of now, im damn glad my trans is getting rebuilt.

I think they are just saying that its a better idea to do it now. Which you know already.

Do what you can with what money you have. A slow car beats a pretty lawn ornament. You even said earlier you prefer to get the looks exactly as you want before any "go fast" parts are installed, so no worries. The tranny, if done properly, will hold up and run like your stock one did, probably a smidge better, but nothing noticable other than shifts. Even if you do a proper 3.4 setup you'd be ok, it'd be the cam or really small pulley build that would probably cause problems. But after college when you make $$$ you can put a built racing tranny in and go all out turbo and not worry.

Remember, haters gonna hate. They just wish they had a new tranny in their cars :th_jester:

I'm on a stock trans on a rockered 3.4 setup so if you don't plan on building past that you should be fine. Also racecar > school you can't race your brain lol

Im going to talk to my grand parents to see if they will shell out $300 for a 4340 Input Shaft.

That's smart thinking, if you got resources....then use them. Two months ago my mom bought my $260 fuel pump for me. Family is good to have.

Im not going to get greedy and ask $450 from my grand parents to get the 300M, 4340 should be plenty good, for my intentions with the car anyways since its good up to 600hp.

UPDATE!

My Grandparents are giving me an extra $300 cash so i can now afford the 4340 Input Shaft.

Now lets all be happy, and everyone that is getting upset that i wasnt originally getting an upgraded IS can kiss my ass.

I dont feel that much better just because i feel like im taking money from my grand parents.

Plus, i have to pay them back.
 
Pay them back as soon as possible. Yea it sucks you have to borrow it from them but you'll be better off getting the tranny done right were it could handle power and eliminating some the possibility of it breaking again.

Car has officially been dropped off at the shop.

Should have my built(ish) trans by Tuesday evening or possibly Wednesday.

Yay for being in Debt now...
