you don't have to plug any holes just blow the motor off with an air gun before you do the work to keep crap out of the motor. It's like 10 bolts further than a sc swap. Gaskets are like $40 on rockauto

i just got a set from rock auto for 43 shipped,( found a coupon code for 5% off as well, 2 bucks, but it all adds up) the ac delco metal ones. my whole lim job will end up costing me about 50 bucks due to having O rings on hand already, and picking up the sc gasket and antifreeze for free with my AZ card rewards. i need to pick up a new set of elbows, and im done.

and 20 for a oil change, but im hoping to not spill any as i just changed my oil 500 miles ago. im hoping if i pull the dog bones and rock the engine back or forward the lim will drain out, (fingers crossed) if not 70 for the whole deal aint to bad.

Never figured out the miss fire. I kinda gave up on it.

Can barely even accelerate now due to the trans. Trying to get on the highway is a pain in the ass, i have to crawl up to speed. The trans just continuously slips over and over and over as im trying to accelerate. It sucks.

Cant do it anymore, trans is going in the shop. Making an appointment next week.

Dan have a little get together and buy a trans we could have it swapped easily in 6 hours with screwing around time in there.

I had the motor and trans out of my parts car in about 2 hours because i didn't care lol **** the shift cables and trans lines and exhaust

But see if it mattered, LOL.

Figure in a day.

Especially on a Michigan car with a bunch of miles and probably tons of rusted, PITA bolts.

Yeah it probably would take about a dayish if i cared about it lol. I have a spare trans in the garage but don't really want to part with it.

how bout you all just make a trip to my house and fix my trans for me.

I'd really appreciate that.

I cant wait to actually get it fixed with some good parts in their. Real excited to feel the shifting with a shift kit.

But not looking forward to spending $1000+ on the rebuild that i dont even have.
