Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

Heh.. might have something to do with it. Being modded period. And actually he didn't get cruise timing raised much over stock so I'm shocked it gets that.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

i can get 32 mpg at 75 easy, on flat ground as well. stock. but around town it drinks gas. 14 mpg tops.

Your car is just something special.

Only when your coolant elbow is in one piece that is.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

Yeah and the 32 lasts for what 1000 feet before the road inclines again and your back to 28-30. If only all roads were flat as can be, it be easy to see 35 at faster speeds.

You have jokes tonight :p

Yeah it's alright though, to be a car that started off on a rough path, it's been the most reliable car. Trans I still question but what gp owner doesn't..

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

Do a pan drop and filter change with a bottle of lucas should help your trans a lot. You could add a shift kit while you're in there.

I just changed the Trans fluid and filter not long ago at all, roughly 4k miles ago with a bottle of Lucas also.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

He flushed the trans.

Keep that in mind.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

No, it needed a pan drop and a filter replacement.

Flushing the trans killed it.

Because all that old fluid that was never touched was holding all the hard parts together.

You flushed out the glue, and now it's a ticking time bomb.
