Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

Not when you swap a Gen V. You either have to run a Valve Cover breather or the correct thing too do is run a vac line from the intake to the spot after the MAF on the throttle body.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

That sir is a $200 profit. :) However, you could get more I think. Might have to hold out, but you could get more.

Nice pic of me lol. I had a lot of fun with you two today. Never a dull moment when the GP dinguses get together

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

what do you mean lack of power making it not able to get seat out? sounds like the wrong tools were brought

1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

You need to move the seat forward and back to get access to the 2 bolts in the back. Without power it's not moving

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

PCV setup for a Gen V swap is (doesn't matter if it's an L32 or L67 LIM)

Front is already functional, no need to mess with it.

Rear needs a source of air. Drill the brass plug out of the bottom of the L67 TB. Either tap it to the threads of your fitting, or do as I did, and use Quik Steel. Run a vacuum line from the newly mounted fitting on the bottom of the TB to the rear PCV port on the Gen V. (upward facing 3/8 nipple)

Also, I found it much easier to just use the Gen V evap as opposed to using the Gen 3 and having to block the Gen V port for it.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

Always take a sawzall to a you-pull. Always.

I can usually make $10-20 bucks off someone who needs one. They're plenty happy having the use of it, and my parts get paid for.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

3.4 pully, gen V, and a solid tune, mabe this beautiful car will actually win a race.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

Take a battery from a drill with you. Cut the seat wiring and tap it onto the drill, power seat. Now you know how I got my special edition seats.

I was going to use the car battery, but we couldn't even get the harness out. The seat was all the way "down" also.
