1996 Buick Riviera starting/running problems

hey guys my girlfriends 1996 buick riviera has the 3800 series 2 S/C... we were heading to a location one day, and on the way the car started to miss fire, then a short mile later we ended up stalling out. tried to restart the car it would not fire up. So today i thought i would try a higher grade/ octane gas to put in there. that did not work. i tried spraying starting fluid into the intake it did not fire either. i scanned the car the only code that came up was a p0300 which is the random cylinder miss fire. i wanna try the plugs and coil packs
is there any other things you guys could name to try?
