1996 3.1L v6. want to make it powerful.

Hello my name is Stephen and I have a red 1996 3.1L v6 2 door grand prix. can anyone help me figure out how to give it a lot more horsepower.
 


Well there is not really much you can do with a 3.1, so what I would do is keep it looking clean until you can move up to a 97-03 GTP.
 
You wouldn't need do that I'd say, there are plenty of alternative things out there that increase performance for the 3.1, keep it simple don't let it overheat, change the oil on schedule, then look for performance options specific to the 60 degree V6 3100..
 
You cannot convert to the 3.8 because it is a 60 degree V6, unless you want to do a lot cutting and re-engineering, not worth the expense...

it's been done. i've seen one in a beretta, but you're right, a lot of parts are custon made.

for the same price, i agree with the turbo kit
 
there is a web site for 3100 performance parts,once i remember where i found it i will post it,this place has aluminum heads,superchargers and so on

ive been thinking about the same thing.

im not sure (i havent checked into it) if it would work but ive thought about taking an ecu and a supercharger from a gtp the same year/body style
 


i have a white 96 grand prix se... i saw an electric turo on ebay for 200 bucks, you would also need a cold air intake..

Um since when cant you put a 3.8 in a first gen w-body? Swap sub frame take pcm, splice wiring harness and call it a day.
