'07 GXP - Bish is a little louder now

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

Hehe ...... so are you going to redip them? and i like the new grilles and such ;)

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

I just redipped the spots for now. Don't have the time or space to redo them completely. Maybe this winter break I'll take them off and take the old dip off and then put on new or maybe I'll just leave them till spring and take them off and have them powder coated

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

I would wait till spring at this point, the winter is going to ware them down anyways.
You should post the pic up of your pumpkin!

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

diagnosis time..
front pass. of the car.. every time i go over a crack in the road or a sealed one or whatever... there is a sound that comes that sounds like a jiggle... like something in suspension isn't right. idk how else to describe it. maybe the barring.

Other info:
the front pass tire is the one i destroyed on a pretty bad curve the other week and it maybe has come from that.
Car has a slight rumble to it while doing down the interstate (could just be that the plugs need to be changed finally) and steering wheel shakes slightly.-- shake started/noticed after hitting the curb.
abs light, tc, stable, lights all came on yesterday but nothing showing today all the times i've started up and driven.

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

The crack in the road part sounds like sway bar end links. Mine used to be like that until I replaced them.

As for the steering wheel shake (welcome to my world as* hole) it turned out to be LCAs after months of diagnosing.

Does some visual checks like bushings CV shafts and all. Look for rips and all that hood stuff. Also if u do decide to do sway bar end links I have two brand new Moog ones for sale. Ones in an unopened box

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

If you hit a curb, I would jack that corner up and check for play in the bearing and steering. Smacking a curb can finish a bearing off which would explain your warning lights. If you wait too long, you can lose the tire while going down the road. It's not fun. If something in the steering is damaged that can be bad too. I would start there and report back with your findings. I would bet on a bearing at a minimum.

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

I haven't replaced that side of the car bearing either... and thats what my idea was too. the problem is i don't have a jack down here at school.

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

My front head light is giving me issues. It will cut out and when i take out the assembly and i giggle the wires of the socket and it does nothing but soon as i turn it the quarter turn out of the assembly, it turn on and is fine. thoughts?

Re: '07 GXP - New Tires=A New Car.

negative. i didn't think that that would be something that would be it. just cause i take it out of the assembly it works... not the bulb socket.. so why would it be the bulb?
