hi i just bought an 07 GP and the "service tire monitor system" light went off. i checked the tires and found the tire reported valve stem is rubber while all others are metal. is that the problem? i dont know much about cars. the psi is reading 37...not zure what it zhould be. check engine light went on as well. car also shakes af 55mph...help

you car has TPS system, I guess one broke and the person befor you just replaced it with a normal valve stem instead of buying a new sensor.

as for the shakes, maybe you got a bad motor mount or the tires are way out of balance.

my tire pressure thing stinks, it dont say crap even if one tire is 20 psi low, i fill the tire back up and the next day it says tire low, wtf? so im at the pass door in the fuse box resetting the damn thing every time i fill my tires, i have the leaking rim mod so its every 2 weeks for me, and i have all rubber valve stems, i have no idea how that thing works. must be back magic lol and there's nothing inside my rims either, no sensor at all...

Im not for sure but if it was a bad motor mount wouldn't the shaking be rpm related instead of speed related? Correct me if I'm wrong. Mine does the same thing though and the previous owner told me it was because he never got an alignment after he put new tires on. But for the tire monitor system try resetting it through the DIC and see if it comes back on

my motor and trans mounts are shot to hell and my car dont shake, it could be the check engine light being on for the op, could have misfires, or another sensor has gone out on him.

if your steering wheel is off center, then you would defiantly need an alignment as that could and would cause some shaking.

but for the op the engine code would be the first thing i would get checked out. free scan at auto zone dude.

no i couldnt test it at more than 55. i think it might just be a bad sensor. not sure about xheck engine light. wheel shakes and car does lower than 55 too. dealer said to bring it in monday and theyll take care of it for me

i would get the code scanned, get an alignment and tire balance , tires are about 8 bucks a tire to balance, alignment around 70, code scanned free, the dealer is going to rape your wallet, unless it has a warranty left on it still. then by all means take it to the dealer, free work is king.

those guys are always so nice till you get a bill for an ungodly amount of money.

its a bad or missing sensor, i assume its the rim with the rubber valve stem, just get a new one put in and call it good

or do like me and say f*ck the sensors and ignore the light LOL
