Yep will not work at all, I tried re-soldering it, packing **** in there and new batteries

did you try gluing foil to the rubber portions that touch the board? I heard that works sometimes....

Worse case scenario you could maybe try reprogramming it or buy a new one online. They are pretty cheap.

Reprogramming it requires a trip to the dealer or a shop with a Tech II tool.
