Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

Someone needs to buy the OBX ones already and get all mad when they don't fit.

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

You girl.

Speed Daddy's fit just fine.

They're cheap as hell on the 3800.

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

Id rather spend my money on something that is proven to work and be good

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

So i went ahead and used 2000*F header coating from eastwood its made to go on the inside i figured this will help cut down on radiant heat. even though there already ceramic coated inside and out. I heat cycled these at 600*F to cure the stuff inside, stuff looks awesome. Got the rest of the parts i needed and waiting on manifold gaskets from oriellys.

and the rest of the parts. thermostat--might as well while everything is off.. New NGK Tr6IX plugs and 3'pipe to connect the exhaust system with a stainless band clamp

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

Hopefully in the morning after I get done flying. I'll post pics as always

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

Word of advice I'm glad I had the forethought to get a thermostat along with plugs. Otherwise got the front done and working towards the rear. Here's some pics I'll follow up with details later my ass is beat for the night

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

I'd love to see a comparison video to with & without headers ;)

Either way.....

Dem headers!

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

How much more snot(HP) you get out of the headers?

One Hella GXP!!

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

After seeing those manifolds, it really makes sense why that figure is so low.

Under the engine long tube time?[/QUOif I ever turn this into a drag car...or move everything to a 97-03 coupe I will make some long tubes

Re: 06 GXP...DT headers in, whats next?

Finally getting the VLOM all welded up and remount mount OPSU for the LS2 intake swap if all goes well this weeknend i should have it all together and tuned.

This was a expensive venture because the first time i got it welded up at the shop the OPSU bung wouldnt clear the LS2's gigantic neck so i had to follow fieroguru's way of things and and cut out the OPSU out the top alltogether and remount it where the oil cooler block off plate is..and then take the VLOM to get rewelded...smh however if you plan on doing a ls2 swap You will need to do something similar, just dont make the same mistake with valley tray (vlom) that i did all the grinding and reworking myself everything inside that oil passage has been smoothed out and worked over for maximum efficency.

here was the first valley tray

reworked it to this

grinded the in the neck to far in and had to patch it. damnit...

pics of the plate that will be replaced for the OPSU relocation

all done

Re: 06 GXP....Alot of mods...Alot of them

not much exciting, i shouldve did this in the first place. installed 3inch flex on the end of the headers, at least that way i can keep peace of mind that the header welds wont crack over time. also go the new Wide band bung installed.
