06 GXP...NOS+E85+V8= fun

Re: The OSEX GXP

Interesting. Well I think id be fine with just an ls1 intake. Can the ls1 one be ported

Anything is better than the anemic ls4 intake. And yes you can port the ls1 but you won't able to do much other than port match to my knowledge. I hogged out my ls1 intake as much as possible though.

So how do the front coilovers feel?

You need the GM carbon fiber center console pieces :hide:

These konis are the **** I can throw the car around a lot easier but I need to up the spring rate and order some of the mevotech strut mounts and new spring isolators as I've already somehow ripped the old ones. Best mod I've ever done though I'm going to swap out with the bilsteins though just to see how the koni compares to a monotube shock.

Re: The OSEX GXP

These bilsteins are tits. Got them halfway assembled.

Re: The OSEX GXP

Good to know everything works with the ls4 fuel rail. Got the spacers in and everything fits wonderful. My only concern is the entry of the spacer, its centered and the ls4 rail comes in at a offset angle so I will drill out the inlet to mimic the factory fuel injector inlet. to make sure there will be no issues. using a step drill is ideal for this but you could always use a drill bit.

Using a spacer for the rails isnt neccesary however if you wanted you will need a approximatley 12mm spacer.

Re: 06 GXP...I call her scarlett with dat ass..

Jealous of the tranny pan drain......maybe next time I drop the pan I'll snag one. Whats up with the new valley cover??

Re: 06 GXP...I call her scarlett with dat ass..

For longevity. Since I never use dod there's no point ion having oil hitting the solenoids constantly and having additional failure points. With this valley cover it blocks the oil passages and keeps all the oil circulating where its needed.

Re: 06 GXP...I call her scarlett with dat ass..

Is that the only DoD thing ur removing?

Yea for now I'll start racking up the rest of the valvetrain and cam slowly. I was planning on doing the rest when the trans let's go and knocking out the cam and all that then

Re: 06 GXP...I call her scarlett with dat ass..

Did you have any thought of what cam you might go with ? ive been curious as to what combinations would be killer for your intake and the current heads

Toying with the n/a route or the turbo route or remount mount turbo at the moment . really unsure regardless though valvetrain needs updating.

Re: 06 GXP...I call her scarlett with dat ass..

So interesting things been going on car has been feeling sloppy lately like the car would change camber on hard breaking and I was getting a lot negative feedback finally decided to get under the car and found that half my spring isolator had wrapped it self around the half the coil spring. On top of that the strut knockle bolts were literally hand tight....thanks pep boys..... Anyway got some mevotech upper mounts, welded new washers in and got new isolators that didn't need to be trimmed. As well as longer end links. Car is once again handling superb.
