04+ owners, wheres the light?

Anyone missing their glove box light?? I noticed that when I first bought the car, my light never worked. so the other day, I bought an LED for it (diode dynamics) but went to replace it and theres no harness! I think the spot it should go is as soon as you open the box, straight up, alittle right of the hatch. There is no wires or socket or anything, I felt several times with my fingers, nothing...any of yall actually have a pic of yours? whats the dealio here?

The rest of the glove box is completely solid and boxed up. Only hole where it could be.
 


Maybe the harness fell into the glove box area somewhere.. see if you can't take apart some of it so you can see inside. I had that problem with my trunk light.. the person before me somehow hid it and I found it when I took the back speakers off lol
 
Maybe GM was too cheap to afford to put that kind of luxury into the newer cars.

In other words, it might not exist, but more 04+ owners should chime in first to see if this is really the case.
 
A-ha! Since the last poster has an 05, and the 06+ say they dont have it, it might very well have been deleted in 06. 06 was also the year they moved DRL's to the lowbeams so they might have messed with (and deleted) some other stuff to save money.
 


Sounds like it could be a good implication. The 04 has to have it. It is in a tight hiding spot as well.
 
My old 04 had it, but i noticed my 06 didnt have it nor the harness that it plugs in, I noticed this when I converted to dual climate...

I will be putting this in though soon, I will post back when I do...just a matter of cutting the hole and hooking up the wire.

Hopefully these help. I noticed that in the area where the light is, there's some wiring, and the light is pretty much behind the wiring. As you can see in the last picture maybe?
